It’s an All-Time Franchise!

Although ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ is the new kid on the block, the Jurassic Park franchise is one of the prevalent franchises worldwide. Forget about the ‘Fast & Furious’, or the Mission Impossible franchises, the Jurassic Park film series began in 1990 and pioneers one of the most interesting plots ever. The franchise is based on Crichton’s novel of the same name and the earliest installments basically tackled the theme park.

That introduced us to a group of young characters, but after a negative response, he decided to change the characters to adults. This worked and before Crichton published his novel, Steven Spielberg came up with a bid for it. The filmmaker is actually the founder of the Jurassic Park film series enjoyed by the young and old currently.

The first Jurassic Park film hit the cinemas in 1993 and it was a major breakthrough of the year. The film grossed $1.029 billion worldwide with only a budget of $63 million. This may seem unbelievable in case we are to compare it with the financial status of the 90s. It can now be compared to Marvel’s Black Panther. After the 1993 installment, The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) followed, then later Jurassic Park III (2001), and lastly the Jurassic World trilogy. The trilogy began with Jurassic World (2015) and now the latest Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom (2018).
