For all the game of thrones lovers, everything came to a standstill when HBO released its teaser a week
ago. The teaser does not have any new footage in it still; it has generated
anxiety among its viewers.
The teaser begins with frozen
mist which is most probably the representative of the Night King and his army
of the dead. The frozen mist rises from the North and steadily runs over Aegon
the conqueror’s map table at Dragonstonen while covering over the direwolf
which indicates House Stark and dragon map marker which indicates House
Targaryen.
What follows after this is even
more eye captivating as the fire lights up at once and it swallows up the
Lannister Lion Marker as it further moves forward to North. It appears that the
show makers are trying to showcase the extreme phenomenon of fire and ice.
Where ice is illustrative of Night King and his followers, the fire shows
Daenerys Targaryen and her living followers. Thus, it is trying to convey to its
viewers what they had been waiting for the most- the battle between the dead
and alive.
The fire and ice are shown to be
clashing at the Trident river. The trident river is the area where Robert
Baratheon killed Rhaegar Targaryen — Jon’s father and Daenerys’ brother — at
the Ruby Ford during the War of the Usurper. This was a remarkable event in the
history of Westerosi. Can something happen again here twice? Can history be
repeated in any form or manner? All these are speculations which the viewers are
holding and waiting to unfold for.
After the meeting of fire and
ice, a rough, uneven and pointed wall emerges from the collision which is from
east to west crossing the middle of the continent. Some of the fans are
speculating it to be a wall of obsidian that is the wall, which emerges when
lava from the volcano cools down rapidly and here, it is representative of
dragonglass. This clearly signifies meeting of fire and ice. The following
assumption is that it could possibly be a new wall as the old one was damaged
by the Night King and his undead dragon mount.
This would give a new outlook to
the Westeros as the New North would have an expansion starting from the lands
of Alway's river beyond the broken walls which will go down to the Riverlands.
This will be the place occupied by Night King and his family for a dwelling.
The South of Westeros would serve
as a shelter to the Living. According to this assumption, the Living would give
up a huge portion of their land. This also means that the Northern who survived
will have to accommodate in the warm weather of the South. This can also help to overcome extinction.
This is because the wall is made of dragonglass which is among one of those
rarest things that can kill the White Walker. As a result, the White Walker and
their Wights would be prohibited from even daring to cross into the kingdom of
the living, again.
Anyways, whatever it is. All
these are total speculations that all the viewers have been able to deduce from
the teaser. HBO has either tried to make its viewers feel content and proud of
themselves that their assumptions are right and they are the real heroes of the
show. Or, it could be another way round and just an illusion to the minds of
audiences. Whatever it is, the audience has to wait till April 2019 to finally
unveil the truth and discover whether the finale of the Watch Games Of Thrones season8 Episode 1 Online has met up to their expectations or not.
